Fairlight Manor

Fairlight Manor provides personal care to up to 19 older people, including those living with dementia and mental health conditions. The home is spread across two floors, each with adapted facilities. At inspection, 16 people were using the service.

Inspectors found safety concerns. A missing stair gate at the top of a first-floor staircase meant residents risked falling if unsupervised or unable to use the lift, though this was corrected during the inspection. Risk assessments lacked robustness, and staff were not provided with adequate guidance on supporting people with different health needs or responding when conditions changed. The service did have quality assurance systems in place to monitor care provision.
