Brighton & Hove City Council - Ireland Lodge

Ireland Lodge provides personal care for up to 34 people, offering short-term respite support, transitional care, and longer-term accommodation for those with dementia and mental health needs. The service helps prevent hospital admissions and supports people returning home after discharge. At the time of inspection, 19 people were using the service.

People received safe care from kind and respectful staff who understood their individual needs and preferences. However, governance systems required a more robust approach to ensure training and policies were kept up to date.
