Edwardian Care Home

Edwardian Care Home is a residential care home supporting up to 34 adults, including people living with dementia, mental health conditions and learning disabilities, and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding weak governance, unreported safeguarding concerns, unsafe environment and infection control practices, insufficient staffing, gaps in staff training and recruitment, and unclear medicines records. People were not always supported in line with the Mental Capacity Act.

Inspectors found staff understood how to keep people safe and worked appropriately with health professionals when needs changed. Feedback from people and relatives was mixed: most felt safe and well cared for, though some raised concerns about staff understanding their condition and being kept informed about treatment.
