About Edward Street

Edward Street is a residential care home in Halton, providing accommodation for people with learning disabilities and autism. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

This service accommodates six people with learning disabilities and autism in two adapted domestic-style neighbouring bungalows within the local community, with three people living in each property. The small-scale setting promotes residents living in a homely environment where they can pursue fuller, more independent lives.

Staff support residents to have choice and control over their daily lives, focusing on enabling them to gain new skills and become more independent. Support is delivered in the least restrictive way possible, with policies and systems in place to uphold these principles. Staff have completed training in safeguarding and health and safety, and understand their responsibilities for keeping people safe from abuse and harm.

The outcomes for people using the service reflect a commitment to promoting choice, control, independence and inclusion.
