Three Elms accommodates up to 60 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 48 residents were living at the home. The service had recently experienced a COVID-19 outbreak affecting some residents and staff, which was managed safely in accordance with government guidance.

Visiting procedures were strictly maintained throughout the outbreak. All visitors were required to provide evidence of a negative lateral flow test, have their temperature checked, and complete a medical questionnaire. Visitors reported being kept well informed about visiting arrangements and confirmed that staff contacted them regularly during the outbreak to provide updates on their relatives' wellbeing.
