Inspectors found relatives felt the home was safe and staff approachable, with any concerns easily raised. People were supported to make informed choices about their daily lives and were encouraged to take part in activities and access the local community, helping to promote their health and wellbeing.

Edgemont View Nursing Home is a care home registered to provide accommodation, nursing, and personal care. The service provides support, respite and nursing care to older people and those who are living with dementia. This assessment commenced on 16 January 2024 and was completed on 25 March 2024. An Expert by Experience made phone calls to people’s relatives on 29 January 2024. An Expert by Experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. In the assessment, we looked at 5 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control and equity in experiences and outcomes.
