The CQC rated the home Good overall, a marked improvement from its previous inadequate rating, which had brought restrictions on new admissions and enforcement action. Inspectors found sufficient staff, safe medicines practices, good safeguarding knowledge and a more attentive, supportive culture, with the home now out of special measures.
People and relatives spoke highly of kind, attentive staff and said concerns would be listened to. The home was newly refurbished, clean and well adapted, with residents given opportunities to take part in activities and shape how the service was run.
