Pilgrims Way Care Home with Nursing

Pilgrims Way Care Home with Nursing provides nursing and personal care for up to 58 people with varied needs, including those requiring high-level nursing care and bed-based support. The service is arranged across two levels with an adjacent Coach House building connected by a covered walkway. At the time of inspection, 48 people were using the service. Residents felt safe living there, with one person noting "I feel safe because the building is secure, there is always someone around and I am in the right place for the care I need." Another resident shared that they had moved from home because they needed more help. Relatives agreed their loved ones were safe and happy.

A new registered manager had recently implemented quality assurance processes, though these were not yet fully embedded in the service culture. Staff knew residents well and provided care based on comprehensive risk assessments. The home had enough staff with appropriate skills and training to meet people's needs. However, some elements of medicine management were not always safe.
