Cedardale Residential Home

Cedardale Residential Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 26 people, including some living with dementia. Following a period in special measures after serious breaches were identified, the CQC found significant improvement and now rates the home Good overall.

Inspectors found people were kept safe through clear risk assessments, safe staff recruitment and sufficient staffing. Medicines practice still required some improvement, though it was much safer than before. Staff were described as kind and attentive, and people and relatives felt confident raising concerns with a supportive management team.
