Down Hall Residential Home

Down Hall provides personal care for up to 38 people of all ages, including those living with dementia, across three units. At the time of inspection, 20 people were resident at the service. People praised the management and staff for providing outstanding personalised care and going the extra mile. The service was noted for being exceptionally responsive and distinctive in involving people and the community together for mutual benefit.

The home maintained systems to keep people safe from abuse and harm, with staff understanding safeguarding procedures. Risks to people's safety and wellbeing were assessed, recorded and monitored. Infection prevention and control measures were in place. End of life care was individualised, comfortable and dignified, with families receiving empathy and understanding. The service demonstrated learning from incidents, with improvements made as a result.
