Doneraile Residential Care Home

Doneraile provides personal care for up to 24 older people, some living with dementia. At inspection, 22 residents were living at the service. Management and staff demonstrate strong values focused on supporting people according to their preferences and needs. Staff know residents well and deliver care tailored to achieve good outcomes, treating people as individuals with understanding of their backgrounds, personal likes, dislikes and health needs.

The home has made improvements to person-centred care planning since the last inspection, with records now individualised and reflecting each person's needs and preferences. Risk guidance helps staff support people to reduce avoidable harm. Residents are supported to have maximum choice and control in their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approach possible. Both residents and relatives consider the service safe, with health needs being met effectively.
