Docking House

Docking House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 39 people, most living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 36 residents were being supported in one adapted building. The home maintains adequate staffing levels to ensure people remain safe and receive timely care. The environment is safe with appropriate equipment available, and staff manage medicines safely. Staff have received relevant training and support, and the home has established positive links with healthcare professionals to promote residents' wellbeing and manage their health effectively.

Staff treat residents with kindness and dignity, respecting their individuality and supporting them to make choices about their lives. The service operates in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, with staff seeking consent before providing care and ensuring people are supported in the least restrictive way possible. Residents' records clearly identify their individual support needs and preferences, enabling staff to deliver personalised care that promotes their wellbeing and independence.
