Derwent Lodge provides care and accommodation for up to 42 people, including nursing care for older people and those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 33 people were living at the home. Residents reported feeling happy and safe, with one person saying, "I'm not worried, I'm doing alright.

" They felt well supported and believed there were enough staff to meet their needs. Staff were described as kind and welcoming, with a relative noting, "My [relative] has been there 6 years. I know all the staff there and can speak to any of them.

They are always very welcoming. " Inspectors observed friendly relationships between residents and staff, confirming residents' positive experiences of care.
