Delamere Lodge

Delamere Lodge is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care for up to 41 older people, including those living with dementia. At the time of assessment it supported 29 people. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, having identified gaps in fire drills, environmental cleanliness and infection control, along with the need for further training to support people with mental health needs.

Inspectors found staffing levels appropriate and medicines well managed, with safe recruitment practices in place. People and relatives described kind, respectful staff and a homely atmosphere, and praised the new manager's approachability. Leadership had improved staff morale, though the CQC noted improvements were not yet fully sustained.
