Aster Care

Aster Care provides nursing and personal care for up to 102 young adults, older adults, and adults with learning disabilities in a purpose-built facility. At inspection, 26 people were living at the service. The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control procedures, with effective screening for visitors and staff correctly using personal protective equipment. All staff had received training in infection control practices and maintained good standards throughout the service.

The home had established clear procedures for safely admitting people and maintained good stocks of protective equipment. Systems were in place to shield and isolate people in the event of an outbreak, with staff practising social distancing. Both people and staff participated in the Covid testing programme and were kept up to date with relevant government guidance on testing and infection prevention control measures.
