Aster Care

Aster Care, in Middlesbrough, provides nursing and residential care for up to 102 people, including younger and older adults and people with a learning disability or physical disability. Around 50 people were living there when the CQC assessed the service, following concerns about care, staffing and management. Inspectors found no evidence people were at risk of harm and rated the home Good overall.

The CQC found people were safe, involved in planning their care and treated with dignity and respect. Staffing levels and recruitment practices were sound, and staff felt supported by management. People and relatives spoke positively about the kindness of staff and the quality of leadership, and systems were in place to monitor and improve the service.
