About Dauntsey House

Dauntsey House is a residential care home in Wiltshire, providing support to older people, including those living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Dauntsey House is a care home providing support to older people, including those living with dementia. This assessment followed an earlier rating of requires improvement, and the CQC found the service had improved and is now rated Good overall. Medicines and risk management systems were now working effectively, though minor gaps remained in records for "as required" medicines, which were addressed during the assessment.

Staff were kind, respectful and knew people well, and residents and relatives spoke positively about the care provided. Inspectors noted some staff training gaps still needed resolving, and end of life care information needed transferring into individual care plans. Leadership was found to be visible, supportive and well organised.
