About Courtfield Lodge

Courtfield Lodge is a residential care home in Lancashire, offering personal care to older people and those living with dementia. Details of the Care Quality Commission's most recent findings are set out below.

Courtfield Lodge provides personal care for up to 70 older people or those living with dementia across two floors of purpose-built accommodation. At the time of inspection, 34 residents were living at the service.

Staff members were knowledgeable about residents' medicines and supervised them appropriately. Safeguarding investigations were undertaken and referrals made to local authorities when necessary. Both residents and relatives reported feeling safe at the service.

Recruitment procedures followed safe practices, with new staff regularly joining the team during an ongoing recruitment drive. However, recommendations were made regarding medicine management and staff training completion to strengthen these areas.
