Conifers Nursing Home

Conifers Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 32 people were using the service.

Inspectors found significant concerns with safety management. People's risks were not always managed safely, and care plans did not consistently reflect individual needs. Medicines were not always managed safely, and the home did not always learn lessons when things went wrong. Safeguarding processes needed strengthening to ensure people were adequately protected from harm.

The home required improvements in infection prevention control practices, and some areas needed refurbishment. Plans were in place to address these issues, though implementation had not yet been completed.
