Conifers Nursing Home

Conifers Nursing Home provides nursing care to people over 65, some of whom are living with dementia. The most recent CQC assessment found the home is now rated Good overall, an improvement following a previous breach relating to safe care and governance. Inspectors found risks were properly assessed, medicines were managed safely, and a new manager had brought stronger oversight of the service.

People and relatives spoke warmly of staff, describing them as kind, friendly and reliable, and said they felt safe. Staffing levels were generally sufficient, though some staff felt more colleagues would help. Overall, the CQC found a service that had made significant, sustained improvements since its last inspection.
