Coldwells House

Coldwells House provides residential care for up to 41 older people, including those living with dementia, mental health support needs, or physical disabilities. Currently 38 residents use the service. Staff ensure people's lives are enriched by understanding what matters to them and supporting their preferences. Relatives praise how staff plan and deliver care that promotes physical health and mental wellbeing, celebrating each person as an individual. Staff empower residents to participate in activities including choirs, gentle exercise, practising faith, and maintaining important relationships.

Staff sensitively support people's individual communication and support needs, maximizing their opportunities to enjoy life. At the end of life, people receive support reflecting their choices and wishes. Relatives describe the staff's dedication during this crucial time as having profoundly positive impacts on residents and their families. Residents have built extremely trusting and caring bonds with staff, giving them confidence to ask for support when needed.
