Holmer Court Residential Home

Holmer Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 33 people aged 65 and over, specialising in supporting older people and those living with dementia. At inspection, 31 residents were living at the home. Staff demonstrated strong safeguarding practices, recognising and reporting concerns appropriately, and systems were in place to learn from incidents. Individual health and wellbeing risks were assessed and addressed through planned care, with medicines stored, administered and disposed of safely.

The home maintained robust recruitment procedures to ensure staff suitability, with sufficient staffing levels to meet residents' care and safety needs. Staff had received required training to provide skilled support. Residents were complimentary about the care provided, noting that staff knew them well. The provider had implemented infection prevention and control measures during the pandemic, with no concerns identified in these practices.
