Clement Court

Clement Court is a care home providing personal care and support to older people. The CQC found the service Requires Improvement overall. While previous safeguarding concerns had improved, inspectors found new breaches relating to governance, medicines management and infection control.

Some equipment and areas of the home were not always clean or free from avoidable risk, such as hot water and unsecured window restrictors.

Staffing levels were not always sufficient, and care was often task-focused rather than person-centred. Some people were restricted in bed without clear reasons recorded, and staff were not always able to explain this. A new management team had begun making changes, which staff spoke positively about, but improvements had not yet been fully embedded.
