Clarendon Care Home

Clarendon Care Home provides personal care to up to 20 older people, most of whom live with dementia. At the time of inspection, 19 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that risks associated with people's health conditions and support needs had not been assessed, monitored or mitigated effectively. Environmental risks were not always safely managed and regular monitoring of some aspects of the environment did not take place. Additionally, there were concerns about medicines management, with gaps in medicine records and discrepancies between stock counted and recorded amounts, meaning inspectors could not assure people received their medicines as prescribed.
