St Vincent House - Southsea

St Vincent House Southsea is a residential care home for up to 27 people, including those living with dementia. The service is spread across four floors accessible by lift, with communal lounges, dining rooms, and a small courtyard garden. At the time of inspection, 24 people were living there.

Staff were kind and caring, demonstrating a clear understanding of each person's likes, dislikes and preferences. People expressed happiness with their living arrangements and felt safe at the home. Staff showed good awareness of their safeguarding responsibilities and understood how to protect people from harm. Recruitment practices were robust and there were sufficient staffing numbers to meet residents' needs.
