Ormsby Lodge

Ormsby Lodge is a large house in central Southsea providing accommodation and personal care for up to 10 people living with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs. At the time of inspection, 8 people were residing there. The home has been adapted to meet residents' needs and is close to local amenities.

People and their relatives reported feeling safe and well cared for. Staff knew residents well and had made improvements to ensure safe care delivery. Medicines were managed safely by trained staff, with administration records regularly audited for areas of improvement. Staff had access to medicines policies, procedures and best practice guidelines. However, while the registered manager regularly observed staff administering medicines, formal competency records were not being maintained.
