Clare Mount

Clare Mount is a nursing home in one building over two floors, registered for up to 29 people and supporting 18 at the time of assessment, most living with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

The CQC found ongoing breaches of regulation covering safe care, consent, person-centred support and governance. Medicines and risks were not always managed safely, the environment was not always clean, and activities lacked stimulation tailored to individuals. Staff were described as kind, and people said they felt safe, but the home has now been rated requires improvement or inadequate at five consecutive inspections, reflecting a history of failing to address concerns.
