Chiltern Rest Home

Chiltern Rest Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 21 older people and those living with dementia. The home is located on two floors with bedrooms, bathrooms, and shower areas on both levels, along with a lounge and dining area on the ground floor. A stair lift and passenger lift enable residents to access both floors, and a secure garden is available to them.

However, the provider's governance was ineffective in reviewing, assessing, and monitoring the safety of the environment, which placed people at potential risk of harm. While systems were in place to monitor hygiene standards, the overall oversight mechanisms did not adequately ensure environmental safety.
