Chater Lodge

Chater Lodge is a residential care home in Rutland providing support to older and younger adults, including people with physical disabilities and those living with dementia. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding kind, attentive staff, good staffing levels and a supportive, well-led culture where people felt safe and involved in their care.

Some shortfalls were identified: care plans lacked personalised detail on health and mobility needs, records such as fluid monitoring were inconsistent, and some medicine guidance needed improvement. Quality assurance systems required strengthening to catch such gaps, though the manager responded promptly with evidence of improvements underway.
