Chaston House Care Home

Chaston House Care Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 11 older people. At the time of the assessment, 10 people were living there. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, unchanged from its previous inspection, after finding it had made some but not enough progress on earlier concerns.

Inspectors found people were happy, with kind, attentive staff who knew them well and supported good health and personalised activities. However, medicines management, the upkeep of the environment and infection control needed improvement, care plans lacked sufficient detail, and audits were not consistently catching gaps in records or care standards.
