About Cedar House

Cedar House is a residential care home in Essex, providing support for people with learning disabilities and autism. Details of its most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Cedar House is a residential care home that accommodates up to five people with learning disabilities and autism. At the time of inspection, all five available places were occupied. The service provides person-centred support designed to help residents live meaningful, independent lives with control and choice over their daily routines.

Residents felt safe in the home, with secure systems in place to protect their belongings and wellbeing. Staff had received training on safeguarding procedures and knew how to escalate concerns appropriately. Individual risk assessments were completed for each resident, with staff demonstrating awareness of how to keep people safe.

The service employed systems to monitor residents' health and wellbeing throughout their stay.
