Ashview

Ashview is a residential care home providing personal care to 12 people with a learning disability and autistic people, with capacity for up to 13 residents. During inspection, significant concerns emerged across multiple areas of care delivery. The home did not focus on people's strengths or promote what they could achieve, leaving residents without fulfilling and meaningful everyday lives. People were not supported to pursue their interests or aspirations, and the environment lacked interactive and stimulating activities. Staff did not consistently support residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, nor were practices guided by least restrictive approaches in residents' best interests.

Additionally, medicine management did not promote residents' independence or achieve optimal health outcomes. The provider had not ensured staff possessed the skills necessary to meet people's needs and keep them safe, raising fundamental concerns about the quality of care and support being provided.
