Castlemaine Care Home

Castlemaine Care Home provides accommodation and care for up to 42 people, with 23 residents at the time of inspection. The home primarily cares for older people living with dementia alongside other conditions including arthritis, diabetes, and heart conditions. Most residents require support with personal care, eating, drinking, or mobility.

The provider's governance systems had improved since the previous inspection, with consistent use of systems to drive improvement within the service. However, some areas still needed further development to ensure people's safety and wellbeing. Staff were trained to recognise signs of abuse and risk, enabling them to provide safe care and support to residents.
