About Carlin Lodge

Carlin Lodge is a residential care home in Blackpool, providing care for people living with dementia in a single adapted building. The findings from the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Carlin Lodge provides residential care and support for up to 17 people with dementia in one adapted building. At inspection, 16 people were receiving care there.

Inspectors found that medicines were not always stored securely, and care documentation needed improvement. Audits and checks had failed to identify these concerns. However, the home maintained a clean and homely environment where staff understood people's individual needs and wishes.

People told inspectors they felt safe and that staff responded quickly when support was needed. Recruitment checks were completed to ensure prospective staff were suitable to work with vulnerable people.
