Golden Years provides residential care for up to 21 older people in a clean, hygienic environment. At inspection, 20 residents were living at the home and staff were appropriately equipped with personal protective equipment. The home maintains adequate staffing levels to meet people's care needs, with robust recruitment processes in place.

One staff member confirmed that all checks were completed before starting work. Safeguarding training is being updated and staff understand procedures to keep people safe, with residents expressing confidence in the level of supervision available.

Risks are carefully assessed and monitored to protect individual safety, and medicines are administered safely. The provider has auditing systems to oversee the service and drive improvements. Management gathers feedback through informal systems and team meetings, and actively responds to suggestions from residents and staff to ensure the home continues to develop and meet people's needs.
