About Cantley House

Cantley House is a residential care home in Doncaster, supporting younger adults, including people with a learning disability and autistic people. Details of the most recent CQC findings are set out below.

Cantley House is a residential care home supporting younger adults, including people with a learning disability and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, following concerns about fire safety. Inspectors found that risks were not always well documented, medicine management and environmental issues had not been picked up promptly, and quality monitoring systems were disorganised, leading to breaches around safe care and governance.

On a more positive note, people and relatives told inspectors they felt safe, well cared for and listened to. Staff were described as friendly and supportive, knowing people well and respecting their preferences and choices. People had access to healthcare professionals and enjoyed activities of their choosing.
