Cannock Specialist Care Centre

Cannock Specialist Care Centre is a nursing and residential care home supporting up to 89 people across four units in a specialist adapted building with three floors, a roof terrace and communal areas. The home specializes in caring for older people with dementia and those requiring mental health support. At inspection, 56 people were using the service.

The home has robust systems to protect people from abuse and identify when things go wrong. Staff take a proactive approach to assessing and mitigating safety risks. The service operates within Mental Capacity Act principles with appropriate legal authorisations in place where needed to deprive people of liberty. Staffing levels are sufficient to meet people's needs, and medicines are received, stored, administered and disposed of safely. The home has implemented infection prevention measures for both visitors and residents, and monitors and assesses the quality of care provided.
