About Butterley House

Butterley House is a residential care home in Derbyshire, providing personal care for older people. Details of the CQC's most recent inspection findings are set out below.

Butterley House is a residential care home in a two-storey building, providing personal and nursing care to up to 37 people aged 65 and over, including nursing support. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, following a previous inspection that identified breaches around safety, training and safeguarding.

Inspectors found some improvement, with caring, well-trained staff and enough of them on shift, and residents spoke positively about staff, food and feeling safe. However, the CQC found leaders lacked sufficient oversight of staff training and supervision, risks were not always properly assessed or recorded in care plans, and the home remained in breach of regulations on safe care and treatment.
