The King William Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 28 people, including those living with dementia, in one adapted building with a lift access to the first floor. At the time of inspection, 23 people were resident at the service.

The home maintained close contact with relatives and discussed visiting arrangements in accordance with government guidance. Staff supported one-to-one activities for people isolating in their rooms to reduce the impact of isolation. The provider implemented regular disinfecting fogging throughout the service for enhanced cleaning.

Staff competency checks were completed to ensure safe practices in hand hygiene and personal protective equipment use, with staff confirming they had read COVID-19 updates shared by the provider.
