Butterfly Lodge

Butterfly Lodge provides care and support to older people with dementia and mental health conditions, accommodating up to 38 residents. Since the previous inspection, the service appointed a new manager whose leadership has been widely praised by residents, families and staff for positive cultural changes. An operations manager was employed to strengthen quality assurance and regulatory compliance through regular audits. Experienced nursing staff were recruited to bolster the team.

Residents reported feeling safe and receiving kind, respectful care. The home maintains a clean, odour-free environment and has completed safety assessments of the premises. Medicines management has improved significantly, and risk management associated with people's care has been strengthened. Staff recruitment practices are now safer, and safeguarding understanding has improved among the team following recommendations from the previous inspection.
