Tamar House Nursing Home

Tamar House Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to older people and those living with dementia, with capacity for 21 residents. At inspection, 17 people were using the service.

Inspectors identified concerns with medicine management, finding that records were not always accurate and medicines requiring stricter controls were not managed according to legal requirements. The manager took immediate action to audit these medicines and correct the records. Some residents requiring bed-based care had been assessed as needing pressure relieving mattresses to help prevent pressure injuries.
