Honeybourne House

Honeybourne House provides residential and nursing care for up to 21 people with a learning disability and associated conditions, split between a nursing unit and a residential house. The CQC rated the service as requiring improvement, finding seven breaches of regulations covering safeguarding, safe care, consent, staffing, premises and governance. Inspectors were not assured there were enough staff to meet people's needs, and environmental concerns needed addressing.

People and relatives told inspectors they felt safe and cared for by staff who knew them well, and interactions were mostly kind and respectful. However, the CQC found people were not always supported to have maximum choice and control, care planning lacked meaningful involvement, and the service did not fully reflect best practice guidance for people with a learning disability.
