Brookside Residential Home

Brookside is a residential care home accommodating up to 29 people, currently supporting 28 residents. The service cares for older and younger adults, people with mental health concerns, and those living with dementia, operating from one adapted building with communal spaces. During inspection, inspectors found that risks to people were not always effectively monitored or assessed, with environmental risks and storage of potentially harmful substances requiring safer management. Some care plans contained conflicting or outdated information. The new manager has committed to improving quality auditing processes and plans to introduce an electronic monitoring system to better identify and manage potential risks across the service.
