Broadway Halls Care Home

Broadway Halls is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to up to 83 older people, some living with dementia. The service is arranged across four separate floors with adapted facilities. At inspection, 53 people were using the service.

Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely, with several administration records containing unexplained gaps. Risks to people's health and safety had not always been identified and managed effectively, and people had not received consistent support to reduce their risk of pressure sores. The provider's recruitment practices and systems for assessing and monitoring the service required improvement.

However, people told inspectors they felt safe at the home. Staff consistently sought consent from people before carrying out care tasks.
