Island Court Care Home

Island Court Care Home provides personal care with nursing for up to 55 people, including those with dementia. At inspection, 54 people were using the service. However, systems to protect people from harm were not effective. Inspectors found that risks from falls, infection spread, and choking were not adequately managed. Safeguarding processes against abuse lacked robustness, and the home did not effectively learn lessons to drive improvements. Quality assurance systems were inconsistent, meaning people did not always receive safe and caring support. The culture at the home was not consistently positive or empowering for residents.
