Broadacres Care Home

Broadacres Care Home provides residential care for up to 28 older people, some living with sensory impairments or physical disabilities. The home features en-suite facilities, spacious communal areas and extensive gardens. At inspection, 23 people were living there.

The home demonstrated several strengths in its approach to care. Staff provided each resident with a laminated sheet containing photographs of all staff members, helping people identify carers when they wore masks and visors. The service maintained exceptionally high standards of cleanliness throughout, with regular deep cleaning and additional housekeeping staff employed to ensure hygiene. The home had installed a heated visitor pod in the garden, deep cleaned between each visit, allowing residents to maintain contact with loved ones. Additional communication methods including window visits and virtual calls were also supported. An air ventilation system operated throughout the home to help reduce infection risks.
