Bridgemead

Bridgemead is a Christian faith based care home in Bath, providing personal and nursing care for up to 32 people. The CQC found that people were generally treated with kindness and dignity, staff were trained and well supported by external teams, and medicines were administered correctly. However, inspectors found gaps in monitoring records, incomplete risk assessments, and recruitment checks that had not fully explored staff employment histories.

Some people and relatives raised concerns about staff wellbeing, menu choices and feeling unheard by senior leaders. The CQC identified breaches relating to safe care and governance, and has asked the provider for an action plan to address these shortfalls.
