Brenalwood Care Home

This residential care home supports up to 38 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia, across two floors. At inspection, 15 people were residing at the service.

Medicines were not always being given safely and as prescribed by the pharmacy or following manufacturer's instructions. While risks to people's health were managed well overall, safety checks and fire drills required strengthening to ensure staff could safely evacuate people in an emergency. The standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and laundry had improved since previous inspections, though staff were not consistently following the provider's hand hygiene procedures.
