The Retreat

The Retreat provides residential care and personal support for up to 5 people with learning disabilities or autism, with 3 residents at the time of inspection. The service supports residents to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff enabling them to participate in activities of their choosing and helping them access new pastimes. The home is well-designed, furnished to meet residents' needs, and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.

Staff numbers are sufficient and appropriately trained to keep people safe and meet their needs. They have received training on safeguarding and understand how to protect residents from poor care or abuse. Staff treat residents with dignity and respect while actively promoting their independence. The service ensures people receive proper support with their medicines and that their health needs are met.
