Ernest Luff Homes

Ernest Luff is a purpose-built residential care home accommodating up to 28 people aged predominantly 65 and over, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 25 residents were using the service, which offers private rooms and communal spaces with gardens.

People, relatives, staff and healthcare professionals described the home as having a homely atmosphere with strong emphasis on family and community connections. Residents reported feeling safe, and staff were motivated in treating people as individuals and supporting an enjoyable life. Care risks were appropriately assessed and managed, with staff demonstrating awareness of safeguarding responsibilities and having received relevant training. Medicines were stored, administered and disposed of safely throughout the service.
