Breckside Park Residential Home

Breckside Park Residential Home provides personal care for up to 33 people, with 30 living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and placed it in special measures, finding breaches relating to dignity and respect, safe care and treatment, and governance. Risks to people were not properly assessed or managed, fire exits were obstructed, and parts of the home and equipment were unclean, increasing infection risks.

Despite this, feedback from people and families was largely positive, describing staff as kind, patient and attentive, and praising the registered manager's approachability. Some residents wanted more frequent bathing and quicker help when needed. Inspectors found governance systems failed to identify or address these shortfalls effectively.
