About Townsend Hub

Townsend Hub is a residential care home in Liverpool offering reablement support for adults recovering from a hospital stay. Full details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Townsend Hub is a residential care home providing reablement support to adults recovering from a hospital stay, helping them regain independence and plan for their future. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall, finding a breach relating to governance and record-keeping. Risk management was not always person-centred, care plans lacked detail on consent and capacity, and monitoring of conditions like diabetes and catheter care was inconsistent.

Inspectors found staff kind, caring and well regarded by residents and families, with good teamwork and joint working with outside professionals. However, some staff felt overstretched, affecting training and paperwork, and audits had not identified gaps in care planning. Leaders were approachable, but stronger oversight and learning from incidents are needed to sustain improvement.
